12240 N SCOTTSDALE Road

This 3 bedroom single level home is not only located on almost an acre of land with no HOA in the most sought after zip code of 85254 in Scottsdale but is an architecturally exquisite Arizona territorial design.Originally built in 1963, this home was remodeled from the studs with new wiring, plumbing and smooth finished walls on the interior but keeping most of the elegant architectural elements in place as well as incorporating other pieces into it in 2013.Two shuttered doors with mirrored inner doors that lead to the third bedroom were salvaged from an 1840 (approximately) built home in Louisiana during the Katrina storm and the master bedroom is adorned with an antique Turkey chandelier.Taking a bath in the vintage clawfoot tub and being bathed in sunlight from the skylight is quite comparable to taking one in a luxury resort meant to bring you closer to nature in the second bathroom. With the exterior walls being two layer wide mortar washed brick walls makes it well insulated and exposed in most areas which is crowned in the interior with ceilings that are individual white wooden slats with espresso colored wood beams for contrast. There is plumbing for a 3rd bathroom in an area off the laundry room if a new owner will like a full or half bath added. There was an arched doorway from the living room to the front patio that has been sealed off but can be replaced with an arched door for additional architectural detail. It is opposite the Cactus Park, Aquatic and Fitness Center so a new owner does not have to put in a pool if they would prefer not to maintain one.
